P’nhawn da, My name is Joe – I am working on Making Welsh Hay, a project set up by Zero Carbon Llanidloes, funded by the Landfill Tax Disposal Scheme. We are working to set up new meadow sites in the Llani area. Orginially the project was aimed at farmers, but we have found that small-holders and domestic land owners are more interested in creating hay meadows currently.
I also work at The Hanging Gardens in Llanidloes, a beautiful and vibrant sustainable community center. As well as those 2 jobs I have started a job researching farms/food production systems for a book being made by Nat Geo photographer, George Steinmetz (so if anybody knows of beautiful/interesting farms/market gardens, hit me up).
I love getting out and about, by bicycle or by foot. I love to observe natural systems in motion, though I am not the hottest on ID. I have a strong love for Dickens too.
And I am very happy to be part of this new group and forum 🙂
